  Over
is one of the 100 words for operations and so on, specially for directions. The root-sense of over is the opposite of under. It will be put into French words like au dessus or restant; German like über or übrig. Over, when talking about number or amount, is the same as more than. If you are 31 years old or older, you are over 30. Over something, like long hair over the ear, for example, is covering something. Over is, sometimes, from one side of a thing to the other side, or from one end to the other. If you have gone over something, you will be at an end of it. It will be over. Here is an old saying: "It's never over till it's over." John Lennon said: "War is over!" If you go over something, come back, and go over it again, you will be said that you have done it over. If it's not enough, you may get a request to do it over and over again.

Overacting is overdoing the act, for example, on the stage.

Overall, when it is sounded with a weight on "O" only, is a sort of work coat put on over other clothing.

Overall, when sounded like "OverAll," is about looking at every part, with complete view of something, like "overall effect, overall outcome, or overall opinion." It's sometimes used with the same sense as generally or after all.

Overalls are trousers with a cloth covering the front, put on by a worker on a farm or factory. It's an American word.

Overbalancing is a word for an act or condition undergoing loss of balance.

Overclouding is a word for an act or condition making something full of cloud.

Overcoat is a name of a long coat put on over other clothing.

Overcame is the past form of overcome.

Overdo is to do more than enough.

Overdoing something is doing it more then enough.

Overdone is a form of the word "overdo," used, for example, like "the food is overdone, or overcooked."

Overdressed is a word for the quality of being loud in one's dress.

Overfull is having something more than enough.

Overgrowth is plants or branches of trees, in the woods, over your head. Overgrowth, in some fields of science, is overmuch growth of plants or other living things.

Overhand is used for the way, in sports, a ball is sent over one's head.

Overhanging is a word for condition, of the roof or a part of mountain, coming out over.

Overhead is being up over your head, sometimes, in the sky or air.

Overhearing is secretly hearing the talk of others.

Overheated is being more heated than enough.

Overheating is a word for an act or condition of giving heat to someone or something than is, making it warmer than enough.

Overland is (going) by or over the land, not sea, like "overland journey."

Overleaf is a name of the leaf, or the paper, on the other side of the page.

Overlong is longer than enough.

Overlooking something is looking over it, but not seeing, or not taking it into account.

Overly is very or more than enough, frequently used with "not."

Overmanned is having more men than enough.

Overmuch is more than enough.

Overnight is a word for conditions of doing something through the night. A walk through the night, for example, is an overnight walk.

Overnighter is bag for overnight walk.

Overplayed is a word for the condition in which something is made to seem more important than it truly is.

Overplaying is making something seem more important than it truly is.

Overpowered is a word for the condition in which one is feeling feeble against another with greater power, or feeble because having something more than enough.

Overpowering is being over-great in degree.

Overpriced is having the price higher than enough.

Overprint is a word for the mark or letters printed over something, generally a sign over the stamp to make clear when and where the card or letter was posted, or a stamp so marked.

Overprinted is having a mark or letters printed over.

Overprinting is a word for the act of printing a mark or letters over something.

Overrunning is running over, or overcoming, something.

Overrated is having a higher rate than right.

Overrating is a word for the act of giving, to someone or something, a rate higher than right.

Overreaction is a word for the act of giving an unnaturally strong reaction.

Overseas, or oversea, is a word for the condition of being across the sea, like "overseas journey," or "going overseas."

Overseeing is a word for working as someone in authority over workers.

Overseer is someone in authority over workers.

Overseers are ones in authority over workers.

Oversexed is about a story or picture full of sex.

Overshoe is a name of the rubber shoe put on over others.

Overshoes are two or more of rubber shoes put on over general shoes.

Oversize, or oversized, is having a size which is greater than enough or necessary.

Oversleeper is someone who keeps on sleeping after the time to get up.

Oversleeping is an act or condition of sleeping over the time to get up.

Overstatement is a word for the statement in which more is said than true.

Overstepped is being stepped over.

Overstepper is someone who goes over the line, or someone overdoing something. Though this word probably makes sense to anyone whose mother tongue is English, it seems to be used only in limited field like verse.

Overstepping is an act or condition of stepping over someone or something.

Overtake is to come up with, and, sometimes, go farther than someone or something.

Overtaken is the condition of being taken over by someone or something.

Overtaking is an act or condition of coming up with and, sometimes, going farther.

Overtaxed is being taxed more than is right.

Over-the-top is overdone, overacted, or overdressed. This word, or word group, is not used in serious talks or writings.

Overtime is the condition of working after normal working hours. Japanese businessmen, a great number of them, do their work overtime. Some do it so long or frequently to make themselves dead.

Overtook is the past form of overtake.

Overtopped is having something over one's head or top, like a wall overtopped by water from so much rain.

Overtopping is being or going over someone or something.

Overturned is being pushed over, or being upside-down

Overuse is more use than is right or necessary.

Overused is being more used than enough.

Overvalued is having or given more than right value.

Overweight is the condition of having one's eight more than is right.

Overwintering is, of some birds, living in one place over the winter.

Overwork is more work than is wise.
